Speakers’ Corner, Museum of Television. MZTV
One of the most exciting and fun projects we have worked on this year.
We were commissioned to retrofit the old prototype of the original Speakers’ Corner with current technology. Yes the famous Much Music’s Speakers’ Corner at Queen st. W. and John St. in Toronto.
This piece when first launched in 1990 had a remarkable impact on the general public’s interaction with broadcasted media. The project was an archaeological adventure in media technology of 1980’s and 1990’s. We kept the original experience of the piece and replaced the analog parts with digital components to allow regular use of this system for the museum visitors and future production purposes.
